Achill Island
Keel Beach is located adjacent to the village of Keel on Achill Island, Co. Mayo. Keel Beach is a sandy horseshoe shaped beach facing south. It’s Designated Bathing Area (DBA) extends approximately 3km in length from under the Minaun Cliffs to the east, to a rocky spit next to Keel village and is approximately 1.5km2 in area.

Achill Island
Keem Bay is a perfect horseshoe bay at the head of a valley between the cliffs of Benmore to the west and Croaghaun mountain on the east. At the southern end of the valley, the beach is sheltered to the west by Moyteoge Head, while at the northwestern end of the valley the cliffs of Benmore connect with the spectacular mile long promontory of Achill Head.
